I don't really think Zonker had a choice. Our skin ages and becomes more vulnerable along with us.
Back in the 60s, and even the 70s, as nearly as I can recall they didn't even make high SPF sunscreen. Everyone used stuff that encouraged tanning. And burning. For the really sensitive, there was that zinc stuff you could put on your burnt nose.
Then the medical profession began seeing more skin cancer, and individuals began noticing premature wrinkles. And so things changed.
