Putting your shares up for say $5 creates a near mathematical certainty will not be sold at that price in the near term.. It is more likely the shorts take those shares and dump them into the bid to reduce the pps and pick them up for a cheaper price for profit.. Or you can stack the ask to erode bullish sentiment then capitalize on the change in sentiment.. all the while they are on the various message boards and social media bashing to reduce market confidence..
