Chief scientific officer Mikael Dolsten said that in the phase 1 study, PF-07321332 exceeded the level predicted to inhibit coronavirus viral replication by more than fivefold.

A 5-fold decrease in viral replication doesn't seem to be earth shattering to me, especially since delta appears to have several orders of magnitude greater titer that earlier strains. However, it might make lower the chances for a long hospital stay or death.
