FOOD FOR THOUGHT REGARDING YOUR BREATHALYZER

I believe there are only TWO AVENUES to pursue commercialization of a so-called Marijuana Breathalyzer.

Those avenues are REASONABLE SUSPICION & PROBABLE CAUSE.

Reasonable Suspicion falls on the EMPLOYER side of the issue.

Probable Cause falls on the LAW ENFORCEMENT side of the issue.

In relation to the employer, in what setting does the employer have a policy that allows them to stick a breathalyzer (BAC) in someone's mouth to determine ON-SITE intoxication?

I would suggest that would be few and far between IF ANY.

What happens in the real world of employment is that individuals are sent to a government authorized facility that handles drug testing.
In those facilities they ALL rely on urine, blood, saliva, and hair samples.

Here are two links to read/comprehend the real world procedures when it comes to testing employees for drugs/alcohol use/abuse in the workplace.

Take your time reading it and getting a better understanding of the actual issues at hand/in your hand as it relates to your breathalyzer prospects.

General Employees: www.shrm.org/resourcesandtools/tools-and-samples/how-to-guides/pages/documentingreasonablesuspicion.aspx

Government Employees: www.concentra.com/tests-and-screenings/dot-drug-testing/

That leaves Law Enforcement. How are they able to go about sticking a BAC breathalyzer in your face? The BAC Breathalyzer detects IMPAIRMENT at the roadside/scene of the crime.

A Marijuana Breathalyzer DOES NOT produce that critical piece of the process.

In fact...what it does is complicate the process by injecting a monkey wrench into Probable Cause.

Instead of the Drug Recognition Expert relying solely on his/her training, they inject a Marijuana Breathalyzer into the process that still does not get to a determinant fact of whether or not the subject is under the influence or impaired. The law enforcement officer must still send the subject to a facility government authorized to conduct drug testing.

A Marijuana Breathalyzer adds another hurdle for prosecutors to convict someone for DUID, and I believe its use in a prosecution will get thrown out in court as part of the Chain of Custody and Control. My best guess is if there is some YAHOO police department willing to Willy Nilly spend their local taxpayers dollars on a breathalyzer device UNAUTHORIZED by any STATE or FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BODY is asking for a lawsuit.

So yeah...all the rah rah over the years about a breathalyzer AND Hound Labs has had their device (I'd argue a superior device to Cannabix in form and function) has yet to commercialize it in any meaningful way. They have been field testing their device in California and multiple other states with law enforcement and employers. Cannabix is following in their footsteps at least two years behind where Hound Labs has already been with its device. The Hound claims this is the year for mass distribution! Yeah...that balloon has been floating around for at least two years and yet they have not delivered a single device to the market.

As I've stated in my last post, it's my belief a useful marijuana breathalyzer that detects IMPAIRMENT based on a generally accepted standard is likely another 10 years or more in the making. Meanwhile, as long as Cannabix has it's loyal pot crowd following, this will be one of the greatest penny flip companies of all time!!!

I have followed the story of Cannabix Technologies Inc since 2014 and flipping stock is the only real game being played here.

You're in the jaws of...
