Unless proven otherwise, I'll assume the Q was correct. I also thought, that he would answer my email quicker, but then the Q came out.
My own interpretation tends to make me think, he delayed, in order to be accurate/up to date.
As in, he knew the number posted, was going up.

Being led around by people who tell you what you want to hear, is not only dangerous, it's not much of a trading strategy.
