Ralphy, all the formularies have V, GV and GL listed as Antihyperlipidemics with fenofibrates and niacin etc. Antihyperlipidemics is listed under Cardiovascular drugs. I agree that it’s wrong and misleading. What’s worse is that GL is often listed as an alternative medication option to Vascepa because of the dual indication for Vascepa. With time and education, payers and doctors will know the difference and adapt accordingly.
