20/05/2021 The People's Committee of Can Tho City has just responded to the proposal of PHILUX Investment and Consulting Co., Ltd. on the project planned to be invested next to Can Tho International Airport with an area of 700ha.
Specifically, Can Tho City highly appreciated PHILUX's idea of establishing an international diamond exchange and non-tariff zone in Can Tho.
However, currently these areas have not been specifically guided by law. Request PHILUX company to send experts to work with city departments and branches and propose specific feasible investment plans, in accordance with Vietnamese law, report to the City People's Committee for consideration and request the Prime Minister to approve the specific mechanism for pilot investment in Can Tho.
In addition, the City is also considering the promulgation of the List of projects calling for investment in the period of 2021-2025, including projects in the fields of urban – housing, industry, trade services, tourism, logistics,... in line with the socio-economic development orientation of the City. After the list is issued, we invite PHILUX Company to continue to care, support and participate in research and project proposals.
Previously, The People's Committee of Can Tho City received the document No. 22.3/2021-CV(2) on March 22, 2021 of PHILUX Investment and Consulting Co., Ltd. on the implementation of the investment project to build a multifunctional eco-urban area combining a multi-cargo transaction center, next to Can Tho International Airport to the southwest about 5-700ha in Phong Dien district.
