It's a her. And I have known her and some of the clerks for years. She is a single mom and her son was working there. I took him under my wing and found him a better job at an apartment complex helping manage the site. He was driving a POS car and I helped him find a decent car at a dealership I knew. Her daughter just graduated from HS with high honors and has a full ride to UNC. I gave her mom $50 and said don't argue with me or I'll buy my gas elsewhere.
There was an older couple who worked there and her husband recently passed away after a long battle with cancer. Broke my heart since I used to play golf with him.
They are like family to me. During the early part of the pandemic people were giving the store flack for not wearing masks etc on Nextdoor neighborhood. I told the manager about it and suggested she get with the program.
