Oklahoma, Washington trade big-time HRs 6:13 am, May 29, 2021

Good action. Must be highlights. Alabama beat ???, their game one.

Oklahoma got on the board first, scoring on a hit by pitch with the bases loaded. Since then it's been a bit of a laser show at Marita Hynes Field with the top-ranked Sooners and No. 16 Washington trading massive home runs. UW's Sami Reynolds tied the game with a towering drive to center field. Reynolds battled back from 1-2 count to load it up before capitalizing with the solo shot.

But it was Jocelyn Alo with the answer. The Sooners' star sought out the first pitch she saw from Gabbie Plain to lead off the third inning and launched a missile into the left center field stands for a 2-1 lead. It was Alo's 29th blast of the year and put Oklahoma back in front. Watch the replay below:

‘We have nothing to lose and everything to gain’: No. 16 Washington prepares for Super Regional battle with No. 1 Oklahoma

Players cheer on their teammates from the dugout during Washington's
game against Seattle University on May 22, 2021. After advancing
from Regionals, Washington heads to Norman, Oklahoma to take on
the No. 1 Oklahoma Sooners in Super Regionals this weekend.

Following one of the most impressive comeback victories in program history over Michigan in the Seattle Regionals, the No. 16 Washington softball team has little time to celebrate its accomplishments.

Next on the table for the UW is No. 1 Oklahoma on the road in Norman, Oklahoma, in front of a sold-out house in the NCAA Super Regionals.
