Imo it's the opposite - every last company on earth wants a larger market cap, no exceptions. Larger market cap and higher pps = instant gravitas compared to the alternative. Larger market cap makes it easier to get nondilutive financing, or if there's a share offering, it can be at a higher pps. There's no disadvantage to a larger market cap, only advantages.
