True, nobody wants to personally guaranty another entity’s debt. Most of my work with clients is non-recourse, but guaranties do enter the picture from time to time.

The other problem that occurred to me with guarantying debt for a public company is the question of adequate consideration, which could provide a defense for a non-honoring of a guaranty.
