Yep! That's a classic, originally from Mantova, and it's delicious. It's also made with pumpkin; that's easier to find in Italy than butternut squash. Not regular pumpkin; the kinds used there are different.

There's only a little bit of amaretti. And the sage in the brown butter is essential.

According to this source, and surprisingly to me, more pumpkins are grown in Italy than in the U.S.
