They call it pot sized pasta since it fits in a pot.

All pasta "fits in a pot", and has done for centuries. I do not understand this concept. You realize, don't you, that it softens and drops below the surface of the water within a few seconds??

What kind of pot do you cook pasta in? As noted, you SHOULD be using an 8 quart stock pot.
