I am not sure where your data is to support the risk reward as being attractive. For the elderly and otherwise vulnerable groups sure. For young healthy people I would say not. I would rather take my 99.xx percent survival chances IF I were to get the virus then get a vaccine that has no long term data and uses new technology.

Not saying it isn't safe. It probably is. But we have much more data on the outcomes of actually getting the virus. Also it is not selfish for the people who genuinely do not trust getting the vaccine to not want it. I don't completely understand the science of these vaccines and neither does basically everyone else. Yes we often put our trust in other things we don't fully understand but we usually aren't compelled too.

If I choose not to get the vaccine and get Covid the only people I can transmit it too are people who also made that same choice. That embodies what the definition of freedom is. It is really grasping at straws to attempt to argue otherwise.
