a) true, chucking billions away in an all out war can sometimes have that effect. Still under 21 now is very poor in the best quarter of the year after Intel's best new architecture introduction and ramp in decades. Intel have gone absolutely nowhere in a year which is pathetic considering they have sold 70m 65nm processors and AMD none !

You have to hand it to Intel management, they never disappoint in finding new ways to screw up

c) not really, Intel is helping them ramp up their new fabs just like I said they would at the time. God help you if K8L is a home run and Intel's 45nm is a bust with the newly ramped capacity supporting it.
