Came across Viroryon that seems to approach their AD trial work in a similar way to Anavex. They also have Cummings as an advisor, slide 8 is one of his that includes Anavex.

Interestingly they emphasise EEG in their trials as a very sensitive marker of synaptic function. Odd that Anavex dropped EEG from the P2b/3 study.

Prof. Scheltens, like Missling, also makes the point that AD is complex and will need multiple approaches i.e. not a zero sum game.

Notice also during Q&A session, which is a good listen, Scheltens mentioning AD trials where the placebo group didn't decline at all.

The Q&A questions are quite sharp and applicable for understanding AD progression and context to the Anavex trial too.
