I am very interested in the upcoming presentation regarding DHA's effects on EPA's benefits. I agree with you that this may explain the lack of benefit in previous trials.

A few years back I re-posted Eliot Brinton's statement at ADCOM. (pretty interesting reading, even looking back today).

This line of his statement stood out to me and for some reason I never forgot it.

Putting in the context -- and again, this has been discussed, but to point out this is the only study at mid-dose EPA, the only study with pure EPA. DHA at best dilutes the effect of EPA. Probably harmful if there's animal evidence that it actually down-regulates the LDL receptor. So I think that's very important.

Would be curious as to what research he was referring to?
