When I talked to TD ameritrade about an hour ago, they said it's up to the company to transfer new shares into your account with the new ticker symbol. This must be how he is hurting the shorts, possibly. I don't know but maybe someone here does, if the ticker symbol is not available for a short time because the company did not transfer over the new shares, then would short positions have to be liquidated?

Next stop Wall Street. Transfers to the S the R the N and the E trains. Beware the closing doors please.
