The FDA is far from finished with Covid-19 vaccines. I believe the J&J vaccine will reach the FDA shortly and others are in development as well. The J&J vaccine takes just one shot, but it's unknown yet if it's as effective as the other two. There are numerous other vaccines in various stages of development.

City of Hope actually has their own vaccine in Phase 1 there. When I first heard about it I asked if I could volunteer. My Dr. there answered that neither of us could as they set 55 years old as the upper limit.

In reality, if we want to get the population vaccinated ASAP, we do need more of these vaccines as they're making as much as they can of the currently approved vaccines, it's not coming fast enough. Adding more vaccines should get the job done quicker.
