I have been an advocate of the fraud all along and have taken a few arrows myself by leading with my face, but at some point like the Republicans one needs to look things over and see where the water will flow.
Barrick has been able to dodge this with serious influence as well as hiding behind the fact that Chile in all aspects has been spineless to offer a clear position on the ongoing legal issues. Sometimes saying nothing is the simplest answer. Barrick rules by bribe and if you had been reading past posts you would know Barrick writes the laws governing the mining project of Pascua Lama, feeds them down, yes down to Chile and life goes on for them. The closure of Pascua Lama over environmental issues is a well orchestrated play to obfuscate many legal issues, buy time and mitigate the negative costs of further legal problems. Chile has agreed.
