Hi Marzan, my hypotheticals were not intended to suggest anything about NWBO, just to discuss how circumstances can create scenarios and what one might reason from the various discussions going on.
I am not saying at all that anyone is “hiding” anything. In fact One of the other posters posited hiding as the alternative to not “immediately disclosing” data. Data disclosure is not necessarily elated either to TLD. I was not making that connection.
My point is there is no such axiom based upon the 4 day rule. The reality is the company ad all of the scientists involved need to understand whatever is revealed in the data to make an accurate release of data. If they needed to later retract anything or provide further explanation that in some way profoundly contradicted their initial statement, that created liability.
They are entitled to be silent, particularly if that has been a consistent strategy, for as long as it takes to get the ultimate announcement right. Companies do sometimes delay until they 1) have reviewed all of the data and it’s meaning to the degree necessary to characterize it properly and completely, and that can often result in a very carefully crafted statement in which the critical stakeholders take part, or in a technical presentation accompanied by a PR.
They optionally can add the PR to an 8K.
