We need a vaccine, and imlo the Pfizer vax is better than covid. It's gimmicky new mRNA tech heba haba with an inferior nanoparticle vehicle, but it is what we have to get the job done for now.
You're absolutely right about the OWS czar and his Moderna stock bullstuff. I'm deeply unimpressed with Moderna's vaccine design, bloated market cap (OWS czar premium?), or top-shelf government price tag ($4 billion) for immature technology. I feel there are better candidates that should have been given more FDA attention and support.
Given the frequent stalls in vax development over the summer, it was satisfying to see someone finally light a fire under Hahn's rear, even if it made zero difference in vax delivery timeline.
