Free Samples: My 85 year old mom just had her 6-month check-up with her Primary, via Zoom, to discuss her blood work results. Her Trigs are climbing and he suggested that the time might be for her to start taking an “Omega-3.” As her POA, I was also on the call, and asked about the possibility of her starting Vascepa. His response was interesting:
He was VERY open to consider doing so; even suggesting the possibility of her receiving some “samples from him, although he had to check his supply because the Rep visits, during Covid, have been extremely low.”
I wonder how many other Physicians would be willing to prescribe with samples; but due to a lack of in-office visits from Amarin Reps, we are losing potential Script patients?
In this Covid-world we now live in, does Amarin have a strategy for getting samples to Physicians?
