Granted. But Trump's mistake was running for president while he was skating around tax laws. If he had never ran no one would have ever bothered to look.

Manafort made the same mistake but in his instance he had the Russian mob chasing his ass. So he figured he'd work for Trump for free while feeding information to whoever.
