He didn't know much about the corona virus either, although it was kind of his responsibility TO know about something that was killing thousands of American citizens, until he caught it. THEN, he became the world's leading expert on it. And immune from it. And made him stronger and able to leap tall buildings.

You can lead a horse to water. But you can't make him get down on one knee and do an Al Jolson impression!
