Do not agree at all - Hikma's GV does not contain 1 g of EPA and 20%-40% of "other stuff" - the MSDS clearly shows that one capsule is 1 g - only later does it says what that 1 g is composed of, and only 60%-80% of it is EPA. If what you and Iryo were thinking was true, the GV cap would be 1.2 - 1.4 g, and I can assure you very few people would be capable of easily swallowing a cap that's 40% larger than a 1 g cap of V - that would be an enormous capsule, assuming density of the other 20%-40% is similar to IPE - if the other stuff was less dense the cap would be even larger. I had to switch to the more expensive 0.5 g caps of V because I would occasionally choke on the 1 g caps - they're easily the biggest pill out of everything I take.


Ok, had to look - the molecular weight of 1,4-anhydro-D-glucitol is almost 1/2 that of IPE, 164 g/mol vs. 330 g/mole for IPE - that means this theoretical "1 g of IPE plus up to 40% of other stuff" capsule could be almost twice the size of a 1 g cap of V - nobody could swallow that except for someone with special training and/or no gag reflex.
