Ex, there are several alternative statistical methods to preserve alpha. Not to mention ones that might be created as long as their methodology preserves alpha. There are step up methods, step down methods and so forth. My guess is the method chosen by the statisticians is going to increase alpha in a stepwise progression without a given order in the endpoints in advance. Why do you think there are three top world renowned statisticians? In this way there could be some reward beyond .05 if each preceding endpoint is far lower than .05.
