Declining Chances of Acquisition?
With the recent House Antitrust Subcommittee report coming out and seemingly throwing up a stop sign on M&A activity for large tech, how does this effect Netlist's situation?
I am not sure how likely an acquisition was or was not, but this would seem to be an at least slight blow to that. That being said, does it make the likelihood of a settlement increase with extra cash on hand? I also think not as I don't believe it is just a matter of the money being there.
Perhaps someone with more knowledge of Google's history in lawsuits would know better but I don't think this thing has seen its last day in court. At the very least, I would expect google to drag it out as long as possible (appeal the court's decision) likely on one of the days just before Nov. 12 deadline. I think this is more or less standard procedure when a smaller company takes a big player to court.
Combining that with the lack of volume, I see a slow drip down until some news hits to pop the price in either direction.
