mc1988, thanks for your contributions. I said it before and I'll say it again, this case was lost for one major reason, "wrong presentation format!" Yet, the trial was allowed to go on for a week! The Defense BS brigade was out in full force, and Covington did nothing to change the shape of the contest. Singer is at greater fault, because he had the advantage of hindsight, and chose to battle the Generics using their playbook. Singer could have upended the entire case on it's head by using HDK'S material, which was in Singer's possession way before the June 12 or 16 deadline, whichever date that was. The OA debacle crystalized his miscalculation IMO. Singer never stood a chance, because he never gave himself the chance. He caused himself to get entangled in their rhetoric, and the Generics obliged him with all the rope he needed.
