Ops- thank you for FINALLY articulating what happened with that stock sale that supposedly was to save the company. The company received the strike price as you said. To anyone asking, this happens all the time with most companies. The day you’re issues stock price is set. With many companies I had options with, it was generally 85% of the current price, so I was already ahead of the game unless it went down.

Using this scenario, Nader pays $.80 (or less) and sells for $3.80....leaving him $3/share minus taxes. He didn’t “give” the company shit. He simply paid for his stock issuance.
