Rented something from Redbox this weekend and couldn't help but think about how well built it was. I've never seen one that was out of order. And that got me to thinking about VEND due to the Flex connection. So, if Redbox machines are so great, why were VEND's such a disaster? Same manufacturer and in some ways the Redbox automation is more complex. Could it be that VEND had no idea what it was doing and was simply a Ponzi scheme? A lot of people got taken, that is for sure.
