There is a higher-up to consider.

Is our FDA going to be so pompous as to not have high level discussions about 2-73?

I didn't elaborate on the socio-political implications of an Australian approval of blarcamesine for Alzheimer's.

Of course, if this happens (very, very likely), a lot of questions by a lot of people will be asked.

Those with family members with Alzheimer's (been there, watched my dad die of it) will be asking, "Why can't we have this? All we have are a few weak drugs that only slightly slow the progression of the disease. We wanna try what the Aussies have." But their questions will be no more addressed than those we post on this message board.

But there is one person to whom the head of the Food and Drug Administration is accountable, the person who presides over the entire executive branch of the federal government. You know who.

What might happen of this person finds that Australia has begun to treat Alzheimer's patients with a successful drug not yet approved by the FDA. In his view, do you suppose expedited approval of blarcamesine would Make America Great (or healthy) Again?

Wouldn't ya love to listen in on the conversation with the Presider and the head of the FDA? "Now listen to me very carefully....!"
