Everything you point out is entirely correct. There is no guarantee that AVBC would experience the same post RS jump as it did last time. Of course there was no guarantee that it would have that jump either given the company history (BK).
Regardless of all that, given that investing is ultimately a zero-sum game, anytime we win someone else loses. There is more than enough information available to give one good reason to avoid this stock completely. Those that buy in at any price should be well aware of the possibility of loss. Even under my described RS scenario it is possible that the stock will languish after the RS and anyone following that strategy would lose, rather than make money. I just happen to think that that is the only scenario that stands a real chance of producing a profit for a speculator.
Of course there are always things happening that can change everything. Read through the recent news from NITE, there are things being proposed that could change the rules of this game again. But that is a topic for discussion elsewhere.
