"widely believed" is limited to those who know the company well, have read the 400 pages, have paid attention to Africa Intelligence which is a costly magazine, etc.
This limited number of people and any friends of such people who might believe them...is the entire set of people in the population of "widely believed".
Unfortunately, the shares printed by the short sellers FAR OUTSTRIPS the demand by these "widely believed" people.
Literally over a billion shares have likely been printed. Maybe even a couple of billion.
That is what happens when short sellers believe that bankruptcy of the company is a "sure thing" or that revocation of the shares is a "sure thing". Shorts are finding out that they were wrong on both counts.
But eventually the price will take care of itself...it's just not as efficiently as EMH might predict...it'll take months not minutes...because this is not a "widely followed" stock...most stocks on the greys are not.
