Question about the Nasdaq Composite Average

In any event, the Nasdaq Average is cap weighted so it's utterly dominated by its largest stocks, monsters such as Microsoft, Apple and Amazon.

In another words it doesn't matter if they include all tiers. The weights cover up any weakies.

Same with the DJIA. Where weights might be given to companies that are near dinosaurs. And really not participating in driving economic growth.
