Hap- think! I am a Dem. That much is obvious. I DO NOT want the economy to be destroyed. Why in hell would I? By economy I don't mean just the stock market. I'm a trader and I can cope with whatever. However- I have a lots of friends who have actual jobs who need them and I wish they could go back to work yesterday. However- I also DO NOT want them to be sick and possibly die from the from virus.
We can use me for an example. After I "retired" from MSFT, I got bored after a few months and went out to find myself a job that would be fun. I used to love to shop for clothes and toys for my kids and grandkids and even myself sometimes. So- I got a job at Kohl's. I loved being out on the floor, helping people find what they want plus set up new displays. There's no money in that but I didn't need it. However- the people who I worked with really did. Their UI isn't even going to pay their rent and food. How they're managing I do not know. When the stores reopen- only a few will get their jobs back until shoppers return- if they ever do. So it saddens me no end that they had to close down the stores. I also know that there's noway that you can run a department store while keeping 6 feet away from everyone. There's also a lot of people around here who seem to think they're immune to the virus so they refuse to wear a mask. Thee was no choice except to close it down.
Why you think the Dems feel jot about the economy shutting down I have no idea- but I can tell you from first hand experience- it absolutely is not true. If Fox news is telling you they do- they're lying through their teeth. (as usual)
