Our next update to the archives will be on October 17. Have a restful weekend, as earnings begin next week. Don't get too excited though because the biggest gains for the earnings trader is actually in NOVEMBER through End of December, so if you miss a few don't be too concerned. Every earnings season the biggest moves are IN ANTICIPATION of the Earnings season and FOLLOWING EARNINGS SEASON.. (i.e the momentum generated by huge plays like we had from YHOO RIMM and ADBE yielding potential BREAKOUT and REVERSAL PLAYS. Occasionally we'll get a "JNPR" or an "AMHC" so we'll be prepared. The actual earnings season (October 13 through October 31) is just a precursor of things to come.

"anticipatory upswing" or "anticipatory downswing" plus some good GAPS 'N CRAPS and GAPS 'n Craps 'n Recoveries will be the best plays AFTER THE REPORTS. Occasionally we will call a strangle or straddle, especially on the supremely volatile ones (IBM, QLGC, SNDK, SLAB, EBAY you know who you are <g>)
