If you already have a Roth, the 5 year rule for all your Roth’s start from when you opened your first one.
Wrong. That is not true for conversions.
“Each conversion has its own five-year period. For instance, if you converted your traditional IRA to a Roth IRA in 2018, the five-year period for those converted assets began Jan. 1, 2018.”
