Well said Kiwi, plus as Massulo just opined, Lovaza is NOT a generic for Vascepa. Yes they are both drugs that can be prescribed for very high trigs but are different drugs. If the doc writes a script for Lovaza the druggist can sub with generic Lovaza (assuming doc has not obviated using generic substitutes on the script) and if the doc writes a script for Vascepa the druggist can sub with generic V (assuming for sake of argument there was a generic V) but he cannot substitute with generic Lovaza.
