GLW - One tidbit from cien cc was that some trunks are fiber short and needed to deploy 800Gb/s equipment. Hard to grasp the speeds as it seemed only a few years ago that 100Gb/s became standard. Now terabit ethernet will be in sight at 1.6Tb/s but I suspect fiber bottlenecks will have to be addressed. I haven't kept track of GLW fiber deployments and wonder if took 20 yrs to finally use up all that WCOM dark fiber.
