VSPC expansion plans detailed by Livium CEO

Livium Ltd CEO Simon Linge talked with Proactive about the company's progress on its lithium ferro phosphate (LFP) demonstration plant and strategic growth plans. The company is working to secure the remaining A$30.00 million to fully fund the plant, with Linge stating that the process involves "complex transactions" and that "there's a bit to be thought through". The funding includes support from a substantial A$30.00 million grant from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA), which covers around 50% of the facility’s estimated build and operational costs. Linge said the grant acts as both financial support and validation of Livium’s VSPC technology, which is positioned as leading-edge and referred to in China as Generation 4 LFP. He highlighted that demand from potential customers already exceeds the plant’s expected capacity, and the company is selectively targeting energy storage and electric vehicle sectors. In the US, Livium is working closely with distributor United Mineral & Chemical Corporation (UMC), which has already introduced the business to new clients and OEMs. Linge said UMC's presence provides "boots on the ground" support, crucial for US market penetration. Quantum Base to list on AIM with £5M IPO plan

Quantum Base CEO Tom Taylor joined Stephen Gunnion in the Proactive studio with more about the company’s upcoming listing on the AIM market and its breakthrough anti-counterfeiting technology. Quantum Base, founded in 2013 as a spin-out from Lancaster University, has developed an atomic fingerprint that offers 100% secure authentication of goods, scannable with any smartphone. “It tells you 100% if something is real or it's fake,” Taylor said, describing the technology as a major leap in the fight against counterfeiting. Taylor explained that the technology has applications across sectors including brand protection, pharmaceuticals, tax stamps, banknotes, passports and even aerospace parts. The firm is already working with clients globally—from North America to the Middle East—and targeting both commercial brands and government organisations. The IPO is expected to raise £5 million, with £4.70 million already committed and trading set to begin on Friday under the ticker QUBE. The retail offer remains open. “We really want to grow… AIM really helps us grow,” Taylor said, noting the listing will support product development and expansion into new verticals. Key uses of the funds will include expanding Quantum Base’s commercial team and scaling its product reach into global markets. Mt York Gold: Kairos Minerals targets major growth

Kairos Minerals Ltd managing director Dr Peter Turner talked with Proactive about the company's Mt York Gold Project in Western Australia’s Pilbara region. Turner outlined why the company is enthusiastic about the asset, highlighting the 1.4 million ounce gold resource, which he said is largely hosted in a single open pit with clean metallurgy. “There's enormous upside in terms of the resource,” he said, pointing to ongoing technical work and a key land access deal with Pilbara Minerals as drivers for growth. He noted that the mineralisation is continuous over three kilometres and spans three key prospects: Main Hill, Breccia Hill, and Gossan Hill. Drilling along this corridor has consistently intersected gold, with further upside potential extending 1.5 kilometres onto neighbouring ground recently secured from Pilbara Minerals. Kairos is well funded, with A$12.4 million in the bank and a further A$10 million expected from its deal with Pilbara Minerals. These funds will support an extensive 20,000–30,000 metre drill program, targeting both resource growth and conversion of inferred resources to indicated. Turner said a priority focus is the Main Hill extension, with plans to conduct detailed diamond drilling and incorporate any new results into a future resource update. He also said that the company is entering a pivotal period: “We feel that 2025 is probably our kairos moment.” The year ahead will include new drill results, feasibility progress, and a resource update.
