Unfortunately, this is false in general. If it were true, the failure-rate wouldn't be so high for candidates that have shown efficacy in animal models and safety in preclinical tox studies.

There is a mountain of historical data showing that animal models have been very poor predictors of safety and efficacy in humans for most indications.

This isn't even the problem here, as far as anyone can tell. NNVC has never announced poor results in any key FDA-required tox study.

They have, however, been claiming for the last 15 years that they already have safe and efficacious "drugs" in hand. Just nothing to show for it.
