Fauci can say whatever he wants. He is bed with Gilead and has a conflict of interest. If the results with a Leronlimab demonstrate overwhelming superiority over remdesivir, why would Cytodyn even entertain the idea? Just so that Cytodyn can play politics? They may still do a combo therapy in order to advance Leronlimab while ‘playing well with others’. But let it be said that if the results are what we think, we all know that a combo trial is then purely a political play, not a clinical one.
