PCTL - I don't know if I'll get around to looking at it. Just said I might.
There is no question that PCTL benefited by having a product (a disinfectant) that is effective against viruses like COVID-19. The same can be said about any public company with a similar product.
Obviously, the COVID-19 pandemic was a huge boost for the stock price as was any progress that was made with the product since COVID-19 became a big public crisis (FDA approvals, purchase orders, any ramping up in interest and/or production, etc).
But at the same time it would be prudent to look at the bigger picture.
Thanks to all of the hype, at it's $.095/share price (from yesterday) with 540,678,393 shares outstanding (481m of which are free trading), PCTL had a market cap of $51 million.
Is it really worth the $51m valuation?
Maybe PCTL will find ways to continue to build on the hype with new press releases of continued progress. Tough to say.
But just remember that you have to sell the stock to realize profits. So the other half is knowing when to sell too.
