Deaths from coronavirus may be far more than what has been reported.
With reports of 60% of sailors who are infected being asymptomatic and mass testing in CA revealing 50X-80X more cases than reported...we don't know the true sale of what we're dealing with.
There is no way we will get this under control with 160K tests per day. That's 4.5 tests per day per 10,000 people. If we increase the number of tests 10X to 1.6M per day that would bring it up to 45 tests per 10K people. It would still take 222 days to test all 10,000 people once.
Math check... I used 350M population for the U.S. 350M / 10,000 = 35,000. 35,000 X 4.5 tests = 157,500 tests (I used rounded numbers)
Opening the economy without mass testing will be disastrous IMO.
