I voted twice for our Republican governor Larry Hogan (I am an independent but only twice before had I ever pulled a GOP LEVER.) Hopefully the Maryland curve will flatten before our healthcare system is overwhelmed. I believe that he is this very blue state’s Maryland’s first two term GOP governor.
Our last GOP governor was Robert Ehrlich, a mindless GW Bush sycophant. And his vice-gov was Michael Steele who became GNP chairman and now is extremely anti-Trump...
His father was a congressman, a Republican “maverick” during Watergate.
from Wikipedia:
Lawrence Joseph Hogan (September 30, 1928 – April 20, 2017) was an American politician who served as a Republican U.S. Congressman, representing the 5th congressional district of Maryland from January 3, 1969, to January 3, 1975. In 1974, he was the only Republican Representative to vote to recommend all three House articles of impeachment against President Richard Nixon.
