BUD is trying the approach of buying up some of these craft brews, the problem is that the barrier to entrance for the market is very low.
You look a place like Michigan where a brewery can be built under 500k. Consider the owner is taking out a loan and this business is suddenly very easy to get into.
This is why breweries have been piping up all over the country. The profit per glass will always be better than that of BUD selling any bottle of beer, and their overheads in running a small brewery are ridiculously low.
This is why many have been jumping ship and agreeing that BUD is never going to be what it once was.
