could read? I didn't flunk out I told you I dropped out. Yep I joined the Navy and I didn't join the Marines. You don't have to repeat it. I was in direct contact just like my friend but the enemy used bigger bullets and missiles and on a ship there's nowhere to hide. I chose the Navy because of family tradition and the Navy offered a better deal. I scored too high on their tests.
At the time I never expected to go to a West coast ship. But I don't regret a thing despite two tours to Vietnam. My regret is I didn't stay in.

Why didn't you serve in the military? Your knowledge of botany would have been invaluable. You do know which mushrooms not to eat right?
