Talked to a friend that manages a high volume ortho group in county and asked about his thoughts wrt impact of covid-19 on practice. Surprise that he hadn't given much thought to it as they are always busy. Discretionary joints are a big chunk and so is ambulatory. So he isn't sure where the ambulatory cases would be organised amongst the various local trauma facilities if push comes to shove. He is going to look at it now. Also wasn't aware of MACI for localized cartilage damage which is can be done on their premises. They handle a lot of teen sports injuries as well.
