the Bureau of Labor Statistics released figures last week showing that union membership in the United States fell by another 170,000 in 2019, declining to 14.6 million workers, or 10.3 percent of the workforce.
The number of unionized workers in the private sector alone fell by 101,000 to 6.2 percent, the lowest figure in a century or more.
